Freddy Tjallingii(荷蘭),Elisa Garzo & Alberto Fereres(西班牙)
什么是EPG(刺探電位圖)技術(shù)?
會議費(fèi):

Dear colleague,
What is the EPG (Electrical Penetration Graphs) technique?
A plant and a (mostly) Homopteran insect are made part of an electrical circuit by using a soil electrode for the plant and gluing a very thin gold wire to insect’s dorsum. Upon plant penetration by the insect, electrically caused waveforms indicate tissue positions of the stylet tips and insect activities (mechanical movements, ingestion, or salivation). Typically, 8 replicates can be recorded for periods up to 6-8h (more experimental configurations are possible).
EPG recording is commonly used to study plant-insect interactions as involved plant resistance, host plant recognition, plant pathogen transmission, electrophysiological aspects of plant defenses, etc.
Course program: see attachment. This includes lectures (morning sessions) of and practical training (afternoon sessions) in Faraday case use, wiring and mounting insects and plants, monitored recording (data acquisition), signal analysis, data processing and directions for statistical analysis.
Number of participants limit. Because of equipment and facilities limitations there will be a maximum of 16 participants. When more people sign up a waiting list will be used.
Fees.
Participants pay a fee of AUS $500
Registration:
Please reply to this mail or to one of the local organizers
Best regards,
Freddy Tjallingii
